David's Bridal - Taffeta jewel neck ball gown featuring side pockets.

I can't tell if I'm really digging this dress or not. I imagine it would be great short, but would I just look like a muffin with boobs from the front? OTOH, I totally dig the back, and for $399, with the opportunity to get it on sale through next week, I might find I think I might go try it on. But GEEZ to I hate David's Bridal BARN. Ugh. It's probably more of a polyester monstrosity than a thing of beauty in person, right?

  1. Tried the dress on yesterday-- I fell in love with it. Unfortunately they can't ship it in time :(

  2. This is the wedding dress I chose for myself and it's lovely. No polyester. It's Taffeta. Try it. You'll love it.

  3. Pockets - now there is a idea. You can carry your lip gloss with you all night long and make sure you look good for every shot.

  5. i bought this dress. it's comfy and light. my only issue is what to do about a bra-it's backless. any ideas?

  6. @Anabela, I don't think it's quite backless, but it is low-ish cut in the back. I'd suggest trying it on with your favorite strapless bra and spanx or a good low-back bustier/corset if you can find one. I also found the COOLEST yet weirdest feat of engineering for boobs: stick on breast lifts, Bring It Up, and you won't even have to worry about trimming them under a high necked dress like this! If you're comfortable with it, you can just wear the Bring It Ups, and no bra, but I'm a busty girl and require a strapless AND the stick-ons, but then I don't go around tugging up my bra and repositioning my boobies all night. We all know how unattractive that looks!
